Joe & Sandy Samberg Foundation
Nurse Practitioner & Philanthropist
Sandy Samberg graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with her BSN & MSN and worked as a nurse practitioner in New York City. Most recently, she founded a non-profit cancer support organization, Soul Ryeders, and led it for over a decade. Helping individuals facing terminal illness inspired Sandy to expand her knowledge about end-of-life care. Intrigued by the promising research about psychedelic-assisted therapy for those with terminal diagnoses, Sandy began to educate herself about the psychedelic ecosystem. She hopes to make a difference not only at end-of-life, but for those experiencing a wide range of challenges. Her focal interests in this field include public education, facilitator training, nursing roles, equity, and access. Sandy and her husband Joe support several non-profit organizations in the psychedelic space through their charitable foundation.
