Giving and growth: the role of philanthropic funding in the psychedelic sector

Commercial investment in drug developers has comprised the majority of funding in the psychedelic sector over the last few years. Meanwhile, much crucial research and many important projects outside of the scope of conventional investments require financial support. By committing strategic funds and gifts to mission-driven businesses, drug policy reform, public health education, harm reduction, and diversity and inclusion initiatives, philanthropists and investors have an opportunity to shape the field. In this session, we will explore how philanthropy and constructive capital can build equity and social value in the burgeoning psychedelic economy.
