As a state representative, I thought that it was imperative to take fresh approach to addressing the needs of the underserved, the forgotten, and the ignored. My approach led to the passing of many laws including HB1802 - a first of its kind study looking at the efficacy of psychedelics to help treatment-resistant veterans suffering from PTSD. As a member of Texans for Greater Mental Health, I still assist in supporting quality psychedelic and veterans related legislation in Texas and many states. I might seek office again in 2024.
