While clinical access to psychedelics in the US and many other countries remains limited to ketamine and research studies, retreat centers are already operating throughout the world. Even within the US, Oregon and Colorado stand poised to regulate service centers, many of which are sure to follow the retreat center model. What can we learn from those who are offering access to psychedelic experiences in these venues, and how do they differ from the context of clinical medicine?
