We are excited to welcome you to the upcoming Psychedelic Science convention, which is expected to host an attendance of 10,000 participants from throughout the United States and over 25 other countries. As organizers, our priority is to ensure a successful event for all and in collaboration with the Colorado Convention Center host venue to ensure an environment that is safe and conducive to the educational, business and networking purposes of the event. This Code of Conduct and Participant Advisory provides important information to aid in your preparations to attend the world’s largest professional event for the psychedelics community:

Open and Constructive Dialogue

The Psychedelic Science 2023 Convention encourages open and constructive dialogue around the research, therapeutic applications, and cultural aspects of psychedelics. Engage in discussions with respect, humility, and an open mind. Be willing to share your knowledge, experiences, and opinions while being open to learning from others. Differences of opinion are natural, but in their expression of those, participants are asked to maintain a respectful tone and to please avoid ad hominem attacks or inflammatory language.

Respect and Inclusivity

We value and respect the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of all attendees at the Psychedelic Science 2023 Conference. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other characteristic. While attending the event at the Center, negative behaviors such as harassment, discrimination, unwanted advances, or any form of disrespectiful or harmful behavior are unwelcome and may result in loss of participation privileges. Participants are encouraged to treat others with respect, kindness, dignity, and empathy, and actively listen to and engage with different viewpoints and experiences.

Personal Responsibility and Safety

As a participant of the Psychedelic Science 2023 Conference, it is important to prioritize personal safety and the safety of all participants and the host community. The Colorado Convention Center is a public facility, and its management requires that while on premises all participants comply with all laws, ordinances, orders, rules, regulations, and requirements of all federal, state, municipal and local governments, departments, commissions, boards, officers, and related entities, including building management. Participants are advised that by Executive Order of the Mayor of the City and County of Denver, smoking in all City owned facilities is prohibited and the Colorado Convention Center provides a smoke-free, vape-free environment. In addition to tobacco, participants should take note that use of cannabis and psychedelics is not allowed on premises. Building regulations further require that no material, substance, equipment, or object which is in violation of those laws or is likely to endanger the health, safety, life of, or to cause injury to, any person is to be brought onto the premises. As with any large-scale gathering it is important to respect the boundaries and consent of others and not to engage in any activities that may have the effect of compromising participant’s personal safety or the safety and well-being of others or the community at-large.

By attending the Psychedelic Science 2023 Convention all participants are kindly requested to adhere to this Code of Conduct. Together, let's create an informative, fun, educational, safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants to meet with one another, share and gain knowledge of the transformative benefits being discovered by researchers into the science of psychedelics and the best practices being developed to help all members of society.
